What is meant by "certified" training?
Users should attend "certified" training sessions about the components they will use in the myUFL systems. Currently, these hands-on certified courses are available related to a variety of HR and Financial systems. The hands-on certified training is complemented by web tutorials and instructional guides. These additional tools are designed, in most cases, to supplement the hands-on training and should not be considered substitutes for attending the available workshop. To register, click here.

Is attending the certified training really necessary?
Unfortunately, all too often, employees are using the system without having received appropriate training because they are too busy or are trying to learn "on the job." In the end, everyone benefits from having a formalized, consistent foundation of training on which to build. Taught by instructors who can answer your questions, these courses are essential to understanding and using the system effectively.

Where can I learn more about the myUFL systems in addition to attending classroom training?
Instruction Guides and Web Tutorials are available on the myUFL toolkits pages.

These additional tools are designed, in most cases, to supplement the hands-on training and should not be considered substitutes for attending the available workshop. The exception is related to Time and Labor--rather than attend hands-on sessions, employees should review the web-based tutorials and instructional guides for information about how to enter their time worked and leave as appropriate. Information for "Approvers" also is provided in these convenient forms rather than via the more intensive hands-on sessions.

Can I take classes to learn new functions and skills?
Yes. Offering training is part of our current practice of encouraging and promoting professional development.

Can I schedule a training session just for my department?
"Department visits" are available to groups upon request. Please contact Training and Development, training@ufl.edu, for more information.
