Bridges Advisory #87 – November 23, 2005
The University of Florida is committed to keeping you informed as we continue our transition to the new myUFL systems. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.
Administer Training Email Text Enhancement. When training clients enroll in course sessions, and when other training actions occur, email notifications are sent to the employee. Depending on the training action, the email notification will now include the time of the course session and a note not to reply to the email. This enhancement will reduce confusion for the client, phone calls to Human Resource Services and replies to the listserv.
Payday for the 11/04/05 – 11/17/05 pay period. Payday will be November 23rd due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
The current pay period (11/18/05 – 12/01/05) will close on December 1st. Payroll calculations will begin at 9:00AM on December 2nd. Time approved after 9:00AM on December 2nd, may not be included in the employee’s paycheck for December 9th.
Preliminary pay lists will be available on Wednesday, November 30th.
TEAMS Employee December Cash out. TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave–regardless of FTE–during the pay period of November 18th to December 1st, provided 40 hours of vacation leave remain on balance after the end of that pay period. If you are eligible, you will receive the cash–out payment in your December 9th paycheck.
To participate, report the number of hours you wish to cash out by entering them in the Weekly Elapsed screen in the myUFL systems. You may report the hours on any day during the pay period of November 18th through December 1st using the “DLC – 280 December Vacation Cash out” time–reporting code. Hours should be reported on a day when you are not scheduled to work to prevent the myUFL systems from blocking you by using the “exceeds 24 hours” exception. Employees should enter the time–reporting code in Weekly Elapsed screen by November 30th. Please verify with your department if an earlier deadline has been established internally.
An instruction guide is available to assist you in reporting the cash–out, or you can contact Central Leave Administration at 392–5732 or central–leave@ufl.edu.
