The University of Florida is committed to keeping you informed as we continue our transition to the new myUFL systems. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.

SEVEN FINANCIAL NEWS PAGELETS ADDED TO PORTAL. Based on a user’s request via the myUFL Suggestion Box, Bridges recently added seven new CNN/Money financial news sources. Sign on to the portal and click on Personalize Content and check the box for one or more of these new pagelets in the Finance section – Commentary, Economy News, International News, Markets, Most Popular, Personal Finance, Technology, and Top Stories.

EFFORT REPORTING TIMELINE. The Fall 2004 Effort Report is currently open and must be completed and authorized by September 23, 2005. We will be opening the Spring 2005 Effort Report September 12, 2005, and it will need to be completed and authorized by September 30, 2005. We will be temporarily closing Summer 2004 later this afternoon so that Bridges can run the “payroll adjustment” process. While the term is closed, you will be unable to make any changes to the data. The “payroll adjustment” process will allow us to reflect retros and any other changes that have been processed since we originally opened the Summer 2004 report. We hope to re–open the Summer 2004 Effort Report by September 16, 2005. At that time, we will notify departments to review and complete any necessary certification and authorization of the adjusted data.

All three terms must be completed by the end of September so that the Office of the Provost/Academic Affairs can submit the I&R Data File to the State of Florida. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you and appreciate your understanding and continued hard work under the circumstances.
