The University of Florida is committed to keeping you informed as we continue our transition to the new myUFL systems. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.

NEW PEOPLESOFT CLASSES - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN. If you haven't attended a PeopleSoft class and have been "wingin’ it," this is your opportunity to learn all the latest tips and tricks. There is a lot more to the new systems in myUFL than we had with the legacy systems. A key change is that these systems are integrated; in other words, they pass data or "talk" to one another. Due to this integration, the incorrect or incomplete data entry can cause many problems for you and others. Whether you are new to UF, learning a new position, or simply needing a refresher, please register <www.bridges.ufl.edu/registration> today for a PeopleSoft class this summer.

SEVERAL RECENT ENHANCEMENTS TO TRAVEL AND EXPENSE. This past weekend, Bridges implemented three enhancements to the Travel and Expense module in myUFL. First, the system will now automatically pre-populate the current date in the Department Date and Return Date fields when creating an expense report. Second, the system will pre-populate Billing Type "PC/PP Expense" when selecting a Payment Type other than Personal Funds. Also, if one selects Payment Type "Personal Funds" and Billing Type "PC/PP Expense", the system will display an error message stating it is an invalid combination and will not allow the individual to exit the page until the right combination (Personal Funds/In state; out of state; or foreign) is selected. Third, the system now generates an email notification to originators in addition to travelers when expense transactions are approved, denied or placed on hold.

WORKFLOW NOTIFICATION LINKS IN EMAILS NOW WORKING. Bridges has largely resolved a long-standing issue with the links not working correctly in the automated myUFL emails. For worklist notification emails, users should now be able to click on the link that will take them directly to his or her worklist or to the applicable transaction page. If you continue to have problems with the email links for worklist items, please contact the UF Help Desk (392-HELP or helpdesk@ufl.edu).

There are a few remaining automated emails that do not work correctly and Bridges will have those resolved soon. In general, when you do get an email with a non-working link (or one that does not start with http://myufl...), please navigate directly using the myUFL Menu as a short-term solution.
