The University of Florida is committed to keeping you informed as we continue our transition to the new myUFL systems. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.

myUFL FINANCIALS WILL BE UPGRADED IN MARCH. An upgrade to Service Pack 2 (SP2) for myUFL Financials is currently scheduled for the March 12-13 weekend. Testing is ongoing and involves core users from Finance and Accounting, as well as end users from various campus departments. The impact of these changes on department end users is being evaluated and instruction guides will be revised if necessary.

In early March, campus end users will be invited to help Bridges further test the system before it goes into production. More details will be provided in future Advisories.

Service packs are how major product updates are distributed. You may be familiar with this term if you use Microsoft Windows. Service packs keep the product current, fix any known problems or "bugs," and allow us to bring in additional support from PeopleSoft to solve long-term or persistent problems such as worklist errors. We must be current with the latest updates from PeopleSoft in order to receive full technical support and benefit from future PeopleSoft enhancements.

UNDERSTANDING 'ADD VENDOR'. The Vendor Maintenance team requires documentation from vendors before adding them to the PeopleSoft vendor file in myUFL to ensure the accuracy of the information. Please visit the Vendors services page on the Bridges Web site to read the new FAQs about adding vendors or to find the appropriate forms.
