The University of Florida is committed to keeping you informed as we continue our transition to the new myUFL systems. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.

CLEAR YOUR CACHE ON MONDAY. Due to system upgrades performed this weekend, you will need to clear your browser's cache the first time you sign on. If you are unfamiliar with this task, please review the instruction guide entitled Clearing Your Cache. If you experience any problems using myUFL, please clear your cache before calling the Help Desk.

myUFL PORTAL AND SYSTEMS UNDERGOING SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE THIS WEEKEND. Due to scheduled maintenance this weekend, the myUFL portal and/or the various systems accessible via the portal will not be available at times:

Please do not contact the UF Help Desk if you experience any problems during the scheduled maintenance windows. Thank you for your cooperation.

BRIDGES OPEN LABS SCHEDULE. To assist campus with solving problems that are common among users of a particular department or unique to a unit or college, the Bridges Open Labs will be available upon request for specific groups. Contact the UF Bridges office at 846-2504 to schedule a date and time for your group's customized Open Lab session provided by a Bridges Campus Outreach team. Please provide the key areas you will want covered and how many participants are expected. Sessions may be scheduled at the Bridges offices downtown or you may choose to hold them in your own computer lab on campus.

The training lab for Bridges is located downtown at Union Street Station and houses 30 workstations. While many campus units have computer labs on campus and the Campus Outreach team is very knowledgeable, the Bridges location provides easy, direct access to dozens of subject matter and technical experts. Please consider this when deciding where to hold your Open Lab session.

For those who do not want or need a scheduled group session, we anticipate holding weekly Open House - All Topic sessions in January. The January schedule will be announced soon.

PO INITIATORS CAN PRINT DEPARTMENTAL COPIES OF PURCHASE ORDERS. Next week anyone with the UF_PO_Initiator role will be able to print departmental copies of their Purchase Order (PO). These copies will be marked as "unauthorized" and are for reference purpose only. The UF_PO_Department_ Approver role will continue to be able to print POs.

Two instruction guides are available to guide you through the process of printing a PO - Printing a Departmental Copy of a Purchase Order and How to Find a Purchase Order Number. Please take time to carefully review these guides prior to printing your first PO. Both guides are located on the Bridges Web site under Get Trained > Instruction Guides > Finance > Purchasing.

If you plan on printing a large batch of POs, please do this over time (days or weeks depending on how many you have) rather than all at one time. If everyone rushes out to print large numbers of POs, this will have a negative impact on the system and Bridges may need to temporarily remove this functionality.

We appreciate your cooperation and continued patience while we work to enhance the myUFL systems.

DEPARTMENT SECURITY ADMINISTRATORS - CHANGES TO ARS THIS WEEKEND. This weekend, Bridges will make some minor changes to the ARS system. Next week, DSAs will receive a message if they click the "Save" button that indicates they must click on the "Submit for Approval" button to actually activate the role request. By only clicking the "Save" button, the request is not processed.

SALARIED FACULTY CHECKLIST UPDATED. The Salaried Faculty Checklist has been updated and is located on the Bridges Web site > Resources > Hiring > Hiring Checklists.

NEW EXPERT SESSION FOR PAYROLL. As part of the Bridges Liaison program, designated "college experts" receive detailed instruction in key areas. The latest class, entitled " Bridging the Gap: Expert Training on Payroll Issues" is taped and available to everyone on the Bridges Web site at Get Trained > Classes on Video.

NEW INSTRUCTION GUIDES. Some new or updated Instruction Guides are available:
