The University of Florida is committed to a smooth transition to the new myUFL systems this summer, which will affect every employee to some degree. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.

BRIDGES LIAISONS AND COLLEGE EXPERTS. To better meet the needs of the campus community, the University is currently identifying and training designated college and unit representatives to serve as a peer network of “experts” for HR/Payroll and Financial systems. These experts will receive more extensive training on both the new systems and policies. The goal is to enable them to resolve many end user problems locally as well as identify training materials or courses that need to be created or revised. More information will be provided soon.

The first expert training sessions--“Back to School Special: Expert Training on Student Employment, Faculty, and Graduate Assistants”--were held on Wednesday, August 18, and Friday, August 20. See the Bridges Web site at http://www.bridges.ufl.edu/training/videos.shtml for a videotape of today’s session.

USE HIRING CHECKLISTS ON WEB INSTEAD OF IN myUFL PORTAL. Please use the hiring checklists available on the Bridges Web site under Resources > Hiring instead of the checklists in eRecruit. These checklists will assist departmental administrators with processing hires and should be printed, completed and forwarded with the appropriate hire paperwork. Users should disregard the warning message about completing the checklist in the system. Simply click the “OK” button to clear the message.

NEW WEB TUTORIALS. New Web Tutorials are available:

Please contact your Department Security Administrator (DSA) if you need the new role of UF_ER_HRPR_WKf_LtAppt_Waiver assigned to you.

These reports will only reflect user roles that have been requested in the Access Request System, not the workflow or user preference setups requested.
