The University of Florida is committed to keeping you informed as we continue our transition to the new myUFL systems. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.

Payroll Distributions. Effective with the next payroll closing on Friday, May 4, 2006, Payroll Distributions not made for an employee record reported to you on the Distributions Listserv will result in no pay for the employee. Emergency checks will be approved and the employee will be paid with an emergency check on pay day if all time deadlines are met.

Employees that appear on the preliminary Paylists on Wednesday through Friday will include employees without distributions. Unless the distribution is entered by Friday noon, the employees without distributions will not appear on the Final Paylist on Monday.

On Monday, May 8th, Payroll will notify the departments who did not enter a distribution for their employees by the deadline. Please communicate with your affected employees that they will be receiving an emergency check and that their deductions will be paid to the vendors on the subsequent payroll closing, pay period ending May 20, 2006. However, to avoid this problem, have your HR actions to the core offices by noon, May 1st. As soon as your 2nd level approval is complete, enter your distribution. All emergency checks are printed and are not direct deposited.

As the University progresses past “go–live” and enters the early maturity of stabilization, decisions are made to improve the data processing for all support staff. Unlike the legacy system, the current system allows employee payments without a labor distribution. Unfortunately, the default labor distribution results in a whole new set of accounting and labor distribution issues that are too numerous to list clearly. Accordingly, departmental staff must make the labor distribution a part of the total employee payment process.

Next Health Assessment Report. Department Administrators with the UF_EPAF_Department Admin role may run this report to determine when individuals within a department are due for their next health assessment. The exam results are entered by staff from the Student Health Care Center and the waivers by Environmental Health and Safety. Please note the PeopleSoft Exam field reflects the UF “health assessment.” To run the report, please navigate: Workforce Monitoring > Health and Safety > Record Medical Exam Results > Department Next Exam Report.

Enterprise Reporting: Payroll Cost Distribution Run Date Detail Bridges added a column to this report to reflect the distribution percentage an employee worked for the budgetary cost center listed in the report header. This distribution percentage is based on the effort reporting associated with the employee relative to all of the budgetary cost centers that contributed to the employee’s wages during that pay period.

Enterprise Reporting: Monthly Financial Report Availability Bridges is in the process of bursting historical Summary, Transaction Detail, and Payroll Cost Distribution reports for all budgetary cost centers with the exception of construction projects (funds 500 – 599). Additionally, we will publish the KK to GL Summary Comparison report for June 2005 so UF can ensure everything posted to the GL and KK correctly to end last fiscal year. The order we will process these reports is as follows:

In order to keep campus aware of our progress, we have posted and will continue to update the following alert:
