The University of Florida is committed to keeping you informed as we continue our transition to the new myUFL systems. To help you with the transition, each week you will receive a Bridges Advisory.

Enterprise Reporting – Transaction Detail Prompted Report Account ChartField Prompt After receiving a lot of feedback from the UF campus community to include the Account ChartField as a prompt on the prompted version of the Transaction Detail report, UF Bridges recently enhanced the Transaction Detail prompt page with the Account ChartField. If you would like to see a list of transactions for a specific account or a group of accounts, please use this prompted report to determine all of the associated activity from all sources including Payables, Travel, General Ledger, and the like.

Addition of ePAF in myUFL Improves Data–Entry for Department Administrators. In response to the campus–wide need for a streamlined approach to data–entry, Human Resource Services has introduced a new electronic Personnel Action Form (ePAF). The ePAF will replace the current practice by providing a more intuitive format of data entry on fewer pages (one to three pages compared to the current twelve). As fields are entered, information is limited within the data entry fields to only applicable choices–thus, reducing the possibility of errors and making the administrator’s job easier. The form is also automatically routed throughout the approval process–from originator to Level 1 approver to Level 2 approver.

Training on the new process began in February. To date, approximately half of the campus has received training and the responses have been overwhelmingly positive. Initial training for the remaining areas on campus is scheduled in March and April. Administrators with the security role “UF_HR Manager/Dept Admin” and/or “UF_HR Department Hiring” are required to attend “Introduction to ePAF” training before the new security role will be granted.
